The 1944 Mai Tai Cocktail

INGREDIENTS

Lime juice
30ml Jamaican rum
30ml Agricole rhum 
30ml Curacao
A dash of Rock Candy syrup
A dash of Almond syrup

Crushed ice

Cocktail shaker

Tumbler glass

Garnish

Lime wedge and a sprig of mint

 

METHOD

1.       Squeeze the juice of a fresh lime wedge into a shaker glass and then add I ounce of dark Jamaican rum

 

2.       Add some more lime juice followed by 30ml agricole rhum, 30ml Curacao (orange liquor), a small amount of Rock Candy Syrup and finished off with a dash of almond syrup

 

3.       Add crushed ice to the glass and shake well

 

4.       Pour the drink into a tumbler glass and garnish with the used lime wedge and a large sprig of mint. Let’s raise our glass and toast the mighty Trader Vic's!
