Gillray’s, inspired by and featuring work of the famed English caricaturist, sits pretty in County Hall, with unrivalled views of the Thames and all it has to offer. Michelin trained chef Gareth Bowen brings over 17 years of experience in an attempt to deliver arguably the best steaks England can offer. Start with drinks and views over the London Eye and the Houses of Parliament, and then move to your table (find the one near the extra long Chesterfield if you can) for the finest English-sourced steaks. Their signature dish is a 1kg Bull’s Head cut of steak and should be coupled with bubble and squeak (classic tradition), then finished with lemon meringue pie or the sherry trifle. If there’s ever an opportunity to stay classically British, here you have it.
