The restaurant is designed to transport customers to Vietnam with a pop art wall installation and there is an exposed bánh mì counter where customers can quickly receive their orders. Fillings include ‘Asian BBQ Shredded Pork’, ‘Lemongrass Chicken’ and ‘Ginger & Chilli Tofu’.
Whaam Bánh Mì will be open for take away only from 10am to 10pm Mondays - Saturdays, with delicious and healthy summer rolls, salads and desserts available throughout the day. The sandwich joint also offers iced Vietnamese coffees supplied by The Saigon Coffee Company and Blacksheep Coffee. Tom Barlow has spent several years working in Vietnam before moving back to London to develop his Whaam Bánh Mì concept.
No seats and tables here, just game-changing Banh Mi served daily. Tom Barlow heads up this Soho eatery, and combines some contemporary British classics with the ever popular 'Banh Mi' of Vietnam. Having completed a noteworthy innings across food festivals and markets, Whaam Banh Mi finds a permenant spot on Windmill Street. If you weren't already sold by this extremely unique sandwich shop, the menu should do the trick - dishes include BBQ SHREDDED PORK (7 hour pork shoulder, slowly cooked in smoked spices and oyster sauce), or the LEMONGRASS CHICKEN (Chicken thigh marinated in curry paste and stir fried with chilli, garlic and fresh lemongrass).
