From the team behind London’s premiere American restaurant, The Lockhart in Marylebone, Shotgun Barbecue delivers authentic American barbecue in a New Orleans-style cocktail lounge to Soho. Leading the culinary direction is Mississippi-born chef/partner Brad McDonald, while James Stevenson leads the drinks program.
The name Shotgun itself is derivative of the most common residential architecture found the Southeast United States, most prominently in New Orleans and Charleston. With a long, narrow footprint, legend has it that you could open the front door of shotgun houses and shoot straight down the corridor to the backdoor.
The clue's in the title so no gold starts for guessing what's on offer here - but five gold stars for how it's delivered. Shotgun Barbecue is a welcome addition to the London Meat Eatery scene and offers the very best in BBQ cuisine but in a setting stunning enough to renew your vows. London is no stranger to this type of food but haven't you ever wanted to know what it might be like to swap the make-shift furniture and 'trendy' craft beer (so common with this cuisine in London) with banquette leather seats and, signature and classic cocktails? Shotgun is where it's at. Take a date, take your mate, take your boss or your mum - this place will please everyone.
