Jackson + Rye is a vibrant restaurant, café and bar in the heart of Soho. The 160-cover restaurant is open from 8am till midnight seven days a week, and offers breakfast, bar and all day informal dining. Seasonal ingredients are used to create heritage American menus inspired by US east coast cuisine and the best elements of the West coast and Southern states. The all day menu offers a gruyère cheeseburger; chopped salads; grilled tuna and avocado sandwich – and for more substantial dining, the main menu offers buttermilk chicken two ways; veal, beef and ricotta meatballs and prime cut steaks with béarnaise sauce. The price per main dish will be between £12-20 with side dishes at £3-£5. Drinks will comprise American cocktails including a Breakfast Sour, Gimlet Royale, Americano Highball and a Jackson + Rye Old Fashioned as well as hard shakes, fresh juices and a wine list featuring European and North American wines.
Jackson & Rye is all polished wood and chrome fittings with a luxuriously lengthy bar that sweeps through the centre of the restaurant. Another all-day affair, you could quite easily eat all your meals in here and not think twice about it. Cocktails start at £6 (not bad), there’s a lighter bar menu on offer and generous mains that’ll leave you thinking about them for days. American inspired but not exclusively, there’s a daily grill and creamed corn grits if you’re that way inclined. As you can imagine, there’s an extensive rye list so sit back and sample - this place is open til 11.30 so you won’t be shoved out the door anytime soon. Pile your plate with pancakes, eggs, bacon and waffles, grab that glass of champagne with a splash of orange juice to legitimise drinking with breakfast and you’re away. Bringing the New York all day brunch scene to London's Soho, Jackson + Rye is open till late with (hurrah), an option to book. The menu extends past breakfast of course, but we’ll still ask how you like your eggs in the morning!
