Eaten with fingers or forks, bunnychow was created in Durban, South Africa and is a delicious meal now available as a street food in London. The original bunny chow was created in Durban, South Africa in the 1940's and every Durbanite loves a bunny chow. We loved them too, so we created our take on a 'bunny' and have been serving them up to the good people of London, since 2013.
No rabbits were harmed in the making of this restaurant. Bunnychow, another streetfood success, is opening its restaurant doors to share the South African love with the streets of Soho. The premise is simple - take a loaf of bread, hollow it out into a bowl and pack it full of tasty stews and curries - whether you eat with your fingers or a fork is up to you. It's a nifty little idea, much-loved in its original Durban, and has proved popular since the Bunnychow truck set up shop a few roads over in the market. Intriguingly, they serve breakfast and salads too (good news for you carb-dodgers) but we say stuff the diet and dig in because do you know what's even better? There's no washing up.
