Enter the Schnitzel, an Austrian comfort dish and the name of the game here at Boopshi’s. With a wide selection of equally comforting sides, choose from veal, chicken or pork and slather them with a rich gravy. It’s not about fine dining here and the large communal table is less datey and more matey so come prepared for good old hearty food and leave with a feeling that your stomach has just been given a huge cuddle. With the delightfully unpredictable English climate, here is where you want to be on a cold and blustery afternoon.
London’s first marriage of spritz cocktails and schnitzels as been blessed on Windmill street, Fitrovia. Brothers Ed and Ben Robson, plant their Austrian food roots in this new and unique venture with a watering of traditional cocktails with a twist. The menu is heavily influenced by recipes from their homeland with classic Viennese dishes of Bratwurst, frankfurter, smoked eel, ox tongue and of course apple strudel. This Viennese inspiration, taken mainly from the founders' grandparents, is prevalent throughout the menu and restaurant. The heritage is seen even in their choice of name ‘Boopshi’s’ which was the term of endearment used between their grandparents. The Robson pair brings Austrian passion to the table in a very exciting way.
