Steak and chicken are the order of the day at Tramshed. The menu is simple – three sharing starters, whole Woolley Park Farm free-range chicken or Mighty-marbled sirloin steak by the 250g.
Mark Hix keeps things simple with Tramshed. You may as well not even ask for the menu - instead, the Damien Hirst installation suspended above your table tells you everything you need to know. The roast chicken is a winner here - big enough for two or three to share, it’s served upright legs’n’all with plenty of chips and stuffing, and it’s worth ordering a side of Holy F*ck sauce (no prizes why it’s so named) for dipping. Buzzy, bustling and busy, it’s an East London favourite - don’t forget to pop into the Cock & Bull Gallery on your way out.
