Homeslice began life with a hand-built wood fired oven in the courtyard of London Fields Brewery in 2011. Having gained momentum serving up slices across the capital’s street food markets and festivals, Homeslice took to bricks and mortar in 2013 with their first permanent site at 13 Neal’s Yard. Serving 20” pizzas, available whole or by the slice, alongside a selective drinks menu of wine, beer and frizzante prosecco, Homeslice aim to balance experimentation with culinary integrity to offer a fresh approach to pizza. Their expansion into 374-378 Old Street, Shoreditch follows the launch of their second restaurant and cocktail bar at 52 Wells Street, Fitzrovia in September 2015.
We're calling it. Homeslice will be your go-to, friendly neighbourhood pizza place even if you don't live in the neighbourhood. The new Shoreditch restaurant follows quickly on the heels of the summer's Fitzrovia's opening, born from the hugely successful teeny tiny joint in Neal's Yard. The beautiful open kitchen with roaring oven creates masterpieces of 20 inch pizzas - our forever favourite is the goat shoulder with savoy cabbage, yoghurt and sumac - to be devoured eagerly by hand (no cutlery allowed) while the cosy but cool beautiful basement bar delivers perennial cocktail favourites with the perfect Homeslice twist.
