Ceviche Old St is now open at the former Alexander Trust Dining Rooms. A London restaurant landmark steeped in history. For Ceviche founder Martin Morales, it's the realisation of a dream: "When I first imagined opening my own Peruvian restaurant in London, I dreamt of seeing customers enjoy fresh ceviche prepared before their eyes, experiencing the heat and thrill of barbeque meats cooked anticucho-style on an open grill, all on one floor and under one roof. I imagined serving food rooted in Peruvian tradition yet made with a contemporary edge, drawing on the best of London’s creativity and ingredients. This is coming to life at Ceviche Old St."
They’re more famous for bringing the ceviche raw food trend to London along with their devastatingly good Pisco Sours but we think the guys at Ceviche don’t just deliver delicious food ‘with a pinch of chincha’ but they’re doing it in the right way too. Ceviche sustainably sources all its produce (which is nice to know when Tigers Milk pops up on the menu) and supports educational charity projects for disadvantaged children in Peru on the side. We’d do pretty much anything for their drunk raw scallops or chorizo and octopus skewers and the corn cake with avocado whose salty feta topping reminds you to get it again next time. Follow the hype around their new Old Street site or head to the original Soho restaurant for feel good food that does good too.
