Zoom was established in 1992 and was at the vanguard of Marlybone Village becoming the premier food destination of London. Zoom is an immensely popular contemporary Bistro with strong French, Italian and Southeast Asian influences. The approach has always been about total passion, whether searching for the best quality ingredients or travelling around Southeast Asia for a month every year while the restaurant closes, rooting out fabulous imaginative and exciting flavour combinations. Zoom caters to a total capacity of 45 covers, and with good weathers offers outdoor dining. At the centre of Zoom are our fiery grills presided over by head chef Paul Witz employing a mixture of his native South African barbecue mastery and a heavy influence of modern Japanese barbecue concepts which layers depth of flavours and glazes while char grilling. Zoom is about great tasting food. It can be buzzing, noisy, laid back, chaotic, even genteel, but with Ricky at the helm it is always full of character and a heartfelt welcome.
Simple and effective, with something for everyone, what you see is what you get at zoom. A favourite amongst locals, if you’re in the area, pop in for a low-key speedy lunch with generous dishes ranging from steak or burger and chips to Caesar salad or scallops. Prepare to tuck in your elbows as it’s a bit of a squeeze amongst the close knit white tablecloths.
