Since 2010 TIERRA PERU has been bringing London the very best of Peruvian cuisine. Our dream of sharing the sights, scents, sounds and wonderful tastes of Peruvian culture started as a little market stall in Camden and has now grown into a thriving restaurant, showcasing traditional Peruvian food with a modern twist in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Peru is one of the most biodiverse countries in the world with thousands of varieties of fresh fruit and vegetables and the most species of fish to be found anywhere on the planet! Renowned for embracing and bringing together culinary influences from across the globe with innovative fusion cuisine, Peru boasts almost 500 unique dishes, the most of any culture, which just goes to show our love for wonderful food.
Here at TIERRA PERU we use that natural abundance and diversity to inspire and create the best selection of dishes we can offer, along with our love and passion for creating great tasting modern and hearty food that is full of flavour to excite the senses and tantalise the palette.
From the enticing spicy aroma of our charcoal grilled anticuchos, to our fresh steamed tamalitos wrapped and infused in banana skin, we want to share with you a taste of Peru and the Amazon that you will never forget.
So sit back, relax, and feel like you are dining in the centre of Lima itself at TIERRA PERU: The Land of Peru!
Starting as a small market stall in Camden, Tierra Peru showcases Peruvian food with a modern twist bringing an exciting blend to Essex Road. Perhaps the least well known of Peruvian restaurants in London it brings a pretty good fight to the table. Starters include panko battered octopus with fried cassava, salsa criolla and wasabi mayo or marinated raw white fish with tigers milk, black botija olive cream. The braised duck leg comes with stout and cilantro based risotto with a salsa criolla and the spicy seafood stew with pan fried rice and bean tortilla. The décor is understated and relaxed, while the food is punchy and the menu offers a real selection of Peruvian cuisine.
