Beagle is a restaurant, bar and coffee shop set within three beautiful Victorian railways arches. In homage to the railway above us, Beagle is named after the most famous steam engine that used the original East London railway.
In our bar, we serve a selection of local craft beer, seasonal cocktails and wine from both the old and new world, plus our bar snacks menu. In the restaurant, Head Chef James Ferguson offers a daily changing, seasonal British menu. James’s focus is on presenting the finest produce available simply and elegantly. We use an open wood grill for much of our cooking.
Part of our ethos here is to use the whole of each animal - each beast is gradually broken down into a variety of different dishes. Everything is made inhouse at Beagle - we make all of our own bacon, charcuterie, pickles and sauces. We also have our own smoker, where we smoke all our own meat and fish.
A literal stone's throw away from Hoxton station, Beagle is one cool puppy. The talented chefs whip up modern British food using as much of the animal (for meat dishes, of course), as they can with their 'top to tail' ethos and incorporate them into the daily changing, seasonal menu. Meats and fish are home smoked, pickles are home made and charcuterie is sliced to order, which we'll all agree is best. Bookended by a great cocktail and dessert menu, Beagle's open for lunch, brunch, dinner and drinks - all the more enjoyed out on their terrace soaking up the summer sun.
