Augustus Harris is inspired by the bàcari of Venice. We are now open all day serving cicheti, crostini, spritz and an all Italian wine list. At lunch we also have a beautiful selection of sandwiches to enjoy here or al desko.
A Venetian Baroco restaurant on Catherine Street near Covent Garden brings little Italy to the area with flavours by the truck-full. The tiny restaurant with only 35 covers; is an intimate space spread over 2 floors with lots character and culture. There are nice touches beginning with the name - this is after the 19th Century Drury Lane Theatre Manager. The owner who is a city-financier turned chef delivers beautiful cicheti on the plate with delicious classic cocktails and wines in the glass. It brings something different to what can be a rather bland ‘food scape’ of this theatre land, with surrounding restaurants often causing disappointment. Roll up roll up to meet the new kid in town. century Drury Lane Theatre manager.
