Welcome to Counter Culture - The Dairy’s naughty little brother, located just next door. A small snack bar with just 15 seats and no phone, Counter Culture is a celebration of all of the small things we are passionate about. We’re pickling, fermenting, curing and bottling the best of the season’s produce, and coupling it with the incredible meat, fish and vegetables from all of our key suppliers to create delicious simple snacks. We’ll be drawing from all of the techniques we’ve built up over the last three years - something that is already an essential part of our food offering at The Dairy and our sisters The Manor and Paradise Garage and using ingredients that are often neglected in order to be as sustainable as we possibly can. And best of all, it’s BYOB!
Robin Gill is a God amongst men, it seems. He and the team can do no wrong with The Dairy, The Manor, Paradise Garage and now Counter Culture back in Clapham. Taking over from their deli spot, they’ve opened up a tiny bar where small sharing plates are the order of the day. Sustainable produce (yay!) is fermented, pickled, aged, you name it, and available to just 15 diners and those who don’t mind standing around. Share your own recipes and they may get added to the menu plus bring your own bottle and make Counter Culture your own.
