The debut of the multifaceted venue M, created by Martin Williams, (former MD of Gaucho), has been hailed as one of the most highly anticipated openings of 2014. M houses two restaurants, a destination cocktail bar, a wine tasting room, a secret den and four private dining and events spaces. Featuring interiors by Rene Dekker Design and art by Miles Aldridge (courtesy Grimaldi Gavin, London), M boasts an all-star line-up. Head Chef Jarad McCarroll has moved across from Chiltern Firehouse, overseen by Exec Chef Michael Reid (right hand man to Melbourne’s ‘Rock star Chef’, Shannon Bennett). The restaurant is headed up by Francesco Cappucci, who was previously in charge at Cecconi’s.
RAW is our casual dining restaurant, specialising in fast and accessible small plates. Choose from our ‘Tartar and Tiradito Bar’ or the ‘Sashimi’, ‘Cured and Smoked’, ‘Leaves & Grains’, or ‘Forbidden Hot Pots’ sections of the menu. In January 2015, breakfast will be served in RAW from 7am each morning and will feature breakfast classics alongside uber-healthy ‘Brain Breakfasts’ and RAW Juices, designed to kick-start and energise your morning. RAW Wines are chosen due to their purity of flavour and grape variety and feature unfiltered, organic and bio-dynamic offerings. The informal, high energy ambience is complemented by polished concrete tiling and brightly coloured seating, including sharing tables and high stools. P.S: Our specially imported Japanese toilets make the bathrooms a talking point in their own right!
M’s international grill restaurant specialises in the best steak cuts from across the world. We offer cuts from six selected countries, (including Wagyu from Australia and Kobe from Japan), which range from £18 to £150. Our butcher will be on hand in the ageing rooms during every service to offer beef master classes and allowing you the opportunity to have steaks cut to your size and preference. The rest of the menu (starters, mains – non-beef, sides and desserts) mirrors the origins of our steaks: USA, ARGENTINA, FRANCE, SOUTH AFRICA, JAPAN and AUSTRALIA.
M-BAR is on a mezzanine level, theatrically overlooking the RAW restaurant and housing a staged area, where live music and DJ’s will entertain you. M-BAR is the venues’ heartbeat and its high octane vibe reverberates throughout M. Designed by Lance Perkins, Bars and Beverage Director of the Edition Hotel. The Edition recently won the ‘Best Hotel Bar’, at the London Bar & Club Awards. It has also been nominated for both ‘Best New International Bar’ and ‘Best International Hotel Bar’ at the international ‘Tales of the Cocktail’ festival and has been nominated for ‘Most Influential Bar Opening’ at the Paris Bar Show.
