Rabbit, is the latest offering by the Gladwin Brothers offering all day dinning of ‘British Wild Food’ with an enhanced emphasis on a wide variety of Seasonal British, Wild & Foraged produce.
The Gladwin Brothers farm and forage their food with a lot of their produce coming from their farm back in West Sussex, with their youngest brother the farmer playing a pivotal role in providing produce.
They're a clever bunch, the brothers behind Rabbit. The majority of the food they serve is 'fresh farmed and foraged' so you're sure you're getting ethically produced food and dishes straight from the countryside. Similar to their other outpost, The Shed (also a good shout), the menu's divided into mouthfuls (amuse bouches), cured meats from Nutbourne (which are sliced to order), slow cooked dishes (think gnocchi and ravioli) and fast cooked plates (hake and lamb) and it's worth choosing a good few to pick at and share. Or devour all by yourself as we're always tempted to. The atmosphere here is friendly and informal with a real emphasis on well-sourced food and, of course, wine - the Gladwin guys come from one of Britain's most successful vineyard so make sure you sample a tipple or two.
