Brixton: 7 Minute Walk""
Generally the first thing that comes to mind when asking a Londoner about Caribbean food is jerk chicken. There is little or no scope for elevating Caribbean cuisine. Fish, Wings & Tings is changing that by introducing a dynamic ,eclectic mix of Caribbean fare with foods that encompasses the entire Caribbean region, taking the regional and street food and turn it into a trendy and delightful selection of nouvelle Caribbean fare.
Trinidadian chef Brian Danclair is the brains behind this Caribbean culinary fiasco. Fish wings & tings sits on a corner spot in Granville Arcade and is the place to go to to try out some proper lesser known Caribbean treats. Whilst offering a serious portion of Jerk Chicken, its better to visit here with an open mind and go for something a bit different, like the Shark and Bake; small fillets of shark in a fried dough roll with some spicy condiments. Goat chicken is on the menu too, served with a fruity pineapple and mango chutney, or perhaps try the Prawn Roti, filled with potatoes, chickpeas, pumpkin and spring beans.
