We buy from respected long-term suppliers and together we try to provide a butchers shop you can trust.
Bob Dove, the current owner of this renowned Victorian establishment is the third generation of butchers to run Dove and has sourced the very best produce for nearly 50 years giving him the experience and knowledge in understanding good quality meat. The Dove family are proud to have been the purveyors of fine quality Scotch and English meats spanning the 120 years or more. With trusted suppliers and using traditional butchery skills, Dove continues to serve the best you can buy of Beef, of which we are particularly proud, Lamb, Pork and Poultry. This family-run butcher stands as one of London’s oldest butchers. Dating back 120 years, Dove & Son have kept up to times with a beautifully designed venue and incredibly helpful website. The prices aren’t the cheapest in our ‘Best Butcher’s in London’ list but that’s indicative of the quality of produce available. One feature that does make Dove & Son stand out is ‘Jo’s Kitchen’. The in-house chef, Jo, makes fantastic meals throughout the day at very reasonably prices, available to pick up on your way home. Jo treats the people of Clapham to such great meals as Chicken Kievs, Beef Wellingtons and delicious marinades (should you want to do the rest yourself).
