This Spring, luxury rum brand Ron Zacapa is partnering with Typing Room’s pioneering Head Chef Lee Westcott to showcase and celebrate the gastronomic art of slow dining. Together, they will host a unique and exclusive luxury supper club experience for consumers that will take guests on a culinary journey through the art of slow cooking and exquisite cocktails.
The Art of Slow is about taking the time that is required to create meaningful and pleasurable experiences in life. In our ever-busy modern way of life, there has never been a greater luxury than carving out the time to savour not only what we eat, but also the company and conversation with whom that meal is being shared. For Ron Zacapa, time matters more than anything. Aged 2,300 metres above sea level in the House Above The Clouds, this rare liquid is the result of a unique combination of soil, climate and natural materials which are brought together with skilled distillation and craftsmanship and a unique high-altitude, slow ageing process.
The luxury supper club experience, to be held on 9th May at East London’s renowned Typing Room, promises a not-to-be-missed opportunity to feast on culinary fusions from a bespoke menu created by Lee Westcott. The sublime three-course menu will focus on slow cooking techniques and feature a rare ‘edible wonder’, perfectly encapsulating the essence of Zacapa. Each dish will be carefully paired with World Class cocktails crafted by Brand Ambassador, Dan Dove using the incredible flavour profile of Ron Zacapa 23, Ron Zacapa XO, and the newly released Zacapa Limitada. The delicious ‘Zacapa & Leek’ cocktail from the evening combining Ron Zacapa 23, honey roasted leeks, chestnut, allspice and balsamic vinegar will then remain on the menu at Typing Room for three months, allowing visitors to savour the serve right the way through the summer.
